UNLV Hospitality

New Name, New Home, New Era

50th anniversary logo

Fifty years ago, a visionary named Jerry Vallen embarked on a grand adventure to help a fledgling “hotel” department at a little-known university in the desert get off the ground. Thanks to Vallen's groundwork, the Harrah College of Hospitality blossomed over the next five decades into UNLV’s flagship program and one of the top-ranked hospitality colleges in the world. And with the college's new state-of-the art academic building Hospitality Hall opening in spring 2018, 50 never looked so good!
